Associate Director of Advertising and Acquisition

Lilly Strieder.

Lilly is the Associate Director of Advertising and Acquisition and has served various roles at New Blue since 2019. In that time, she’s worked with a wide range of clients, including competitive DCCC Frontline and Red to Blue campaigns. Lilly is also the co-coordinator for NBI’s internship program. 

At New Blue, she worked with WisDems to create a top finalist for AdWeek’s Marketing Moment of the Year in 2020 for their virtual fundraisers, helped win an American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) Pollie Award for digital acquisition strategy, the Reed Award and the Pollie GOLD for best use of social media for the Sharice for Congress campaign, and most recently the Reed Award for best use of social media for EDF Action. 

A former member of Google’s Elections Advertising Team, she has also worked at the headquarters of Obama for America, at Hillary for America, with the Environmental Voter Project, and for the Green Party of Germany. Outside of campaigning, she’s worked for both U.S. Senators from Massachusetts, Harvard’s American Repertory Theatre, Harvard Museums of Science and Culture, MIT as a researcher, and as an instructor in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand in creative arts and sustainability. 

Lilly is a founding Board member of Grab Your Wallet Alliance, a member of the Junior League of Washington (where she recently completed their Leadership Institute certification programs!), and has served on the Board of Directors for the Women’s National Democratic Club. 

A graduate of Wellesley College with a certificate in environmental sustainability from MIT, she is a Harvard Ballet Company, Joffrey Ballet Academy, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago studio program, and Second City acting and writing program alum. She has delivered lectures on combating disinformation online at the Northern Virginia Women in Politics Summit and elsewhere.
